Ever since I was a child, I have had a great interest in biographies, people's lives with their twists and turns, ups and downs.
This project emerged in the summer of 2018. Making films about other people's stories, I realized that the most valuable thing I could do is preserve older generations' stories.
We often fail to stay close to our loved ones and dears and do not find time to listen to their stories and understand what conclusions they have come to. However, we are eager to preserve their love and world for our children to arise in them the sense of interconnections and continuum of generations. It is where I see the most significant value of our product.

Throughout the film, I always felt like my dad was by me because of the high quality of camera work and excellent sound. I watched the film in one breath. Even Dad's simple words brought tears to my eyes. I wanted to listen to him on and on. I loved that our apartment was shown in the film since it is an essential part of our family history. The way my dad talked about it, about our belongings, the way keeps so lovingly every feather touched me deeply. The room for the shooting was chosen very well, with all our science books, plants, photos where my dad sits and works every day. My dad's favourite music was a perfect contribution to the picture. After the film, I felt melancholic too. The film gave me a chance to look at life as a phase of our family journey. I was thinking a lot about Dad's life and what our parents had gone through. I really wanted to hug and kiss my dad and tell him that I know how much he loved us, what he has done for us and that I really appreciated it. I realized clearly than ever that we don't have to waste any single minute and should use every opportunity to spend time together. This kind of film is a unique material, but how unique it is, you understand only when you get the final product. It allows you to have a fresh look at the lives of your dears and at your own life and think them over anew.

But when I learned that there was an opportunity to make a film, I immediately saw all the advantages of this option and grabbed it. By the agreed day of the shooting, I had written a few dozen pages on what I was going to say for the camera. I was a bit nervous before the shooting started as I had never taken part in filmmaking before. But on the day of the shooting, I calmed down. The team created a friendly, benevolent and supporting atmosphere. I immediately felt that the shooting was performed by professionals, even though they were young people. And most important, they were full of respect to my, so to say, confession. I was excited and sincere in answering some of the questions of the lady interviewer. And I don't regret it. The first viewing dispelled all my doubts and fears about my role in the film. The accurate cutting and video editing by the shooting team contributed to it too. Undoubtedly, making such films is very important for families who want to preserve their history for their offspring.
